Peruvian artisan Maria Ramos Sanchez handcrafts this pencil case with an arpillera style front, in which cotton blend felt is appliquŽd and embroidered to create an elaborate scene. The artisan creates an Andean scene with a sitting in a valley of flowers, a village and grazing alpaca nearby, enjoying the mountain view. Embroidered across the sky are the words „oka Kuyayki, which are Quechua for 'much love.' The back and lining of the pencil case are black and the single compartment is secured with a zipper.
